Bringing project management experience and innovative creative to a worthy cause where it's possible to make a difference. Have the pleasure of working with a wonderful, talented team. Implemented a work flow system that promotes and utilizes each person's greatest strengths. Handle all digital and print projects including, but not limited to, web, email content, brochures, invitations, ads, billboards, newsletters and event materials.
Favorite project: Created an annual fund mailer to raise money for Hope Lodge—a home away from home for cancer patients who live more than 40 miles away from treatment. We exceeded our goal and received kudos from many high-end donors. |
Creative Director, Owner
DragonFly Design 2007 to Present |
Working on a crazy range of projects for multiple clients. With a past history of hanging out a lot in InDesign doing brochure design, currently mostly engrossed in Illustrator and Photoshop projects.
Favorite project: Strategizing, designing and copy writing for a parallax website. Collaborating with the developer to get this project out the door and up on the web. |
Art Director, Contract Onsite
Perot Museum of Nature and Science September 2013 to April 2014 |
Using brain power and a repertoire of skills to write, proof, concept, estimate and design under rapid fire for digital, web and print projects. Designed and produced all graphics, both digital and print, for The World's Largest Dinosaur. This included a large window cling for the Museum exterior window area, graphics for the interior wall leading into the exhibit area and all digital promotions within the museum. Other projects included the main entrance exhibit signage for T. Boone Pickens Life: Then and Now Hall, the Moudy Family Children's Museum signage and Leap Frog Forest Signage.
Favorite project: Developing and designing a way finding system for the Museum. DAN KOHL Vice-President for Creativity and Innovation Perot Museum of Nature and Science I have had the opportunity to work with Allie both in her role as a consulting graphic designer and then as an on-staff graphic designer. In both scenarios I found Allie to be a very creative designer. She always understands the projects extremely well and receives art direction with genuine sincerity. Allie always produces several unique design alternatives responding to my direction as well as designs that explore other interesting creative avenues. She responds very well to critique and continues to work with a high level of creativity and enthusiasm through the life of each project. Allie works well with the various vendors, fabricators and other contractors often required to complete the project. She is very professional in her work but retains an informal and friendly attitude even within the pressure of completing important projects. It has been a joy to work with Allie and I can recommend her without reservation. |
Assistant Director
TCU Publication January 2000 to August 2013 |
Was a horned frog for fourteen years as part of TCU Marketing & Communication and a jack of all trades in the role of Assistant Director of TCU Publications. Main functions were TCU brand manager and lead designer for Admission Marketing where our goal was to pique the curiosity of diverse, well-rounded and academically enthusiastic individuals. When not on Admission, worked with other clients from fine arts to business, which required researching and understanding their unique areas and markets as well.
Favorite project: Designed multiple pieces for The Campaign for TCU which raised $432 million in 7 years. |
Art Director
Main Station Advertising September 1996 to December 2000 |
This was my induction into the agency environment with only an internship at Fossil under my belt. Was fortunate to have a great CD. Our main client was All Saints Health Care System, now a part of Baylor Scott & White Health.
Favorite project: Working on collateral for client Rod & Gun. Won over client who was originally skeptical working with AD that didn’t fish or hunt. Not sure what changed his mind—the design and research done for his projects or the toy fishing pole and toy gun I brought to our first client meeting. TECHNICAL SKILLS
Adobe CC and the brain power, experience, patience, professionalism, innovation, efficiency, enthusiasm, management experience and creativity to use it to produce successful projects and meet deadlines. Have done leadership and life training with various organizations including the Landmark Forum.
